There are lots of law of attraction articles and information that can be found all over the internet in just about every form of media imaginable, but unfortunately lots of the information can be a little misleading. This article aims to give you a general overview of ‘what’ all the law of attraction "stuff" that’s floating around is all about, and let you in on how to really take advantage of it…
…and guess what? There’s no secret.
Undeniable Fact or Mystical Fiction?
I mentioned a lot of the resources you’ll come across will be misleading. Well, a good way to identify these is that they’ll make the law of attraction seem like a magical force, much like a genie, that grants you your wishes as long as you… buy their product that teaches you how to… well… wish. It’s nothing more than a popular marketing tactic that will leave you with mixed feelings as to whether the law of attraction really works or not.
The law of attraction is real, however, it’s not magic, and it requires work to make it happen… but if you’re willing to follow a few simple guidelines, it can work in a way that certainly seems like magic.
What Do You Want?
The first guideline is very simple: know exactly what you want to "attract" into your life. This is otherwise known as your positive intention. Negative, conflicting intentions would be thoughts that cause you to doubt you can get what you want, or limiting beliefs about yourself which will sabotage your being able to get what you want.
The bottom line is, know exactly what you want, and believe you can get it. You need to adapt an optimistic mindset, even when you find yourself failing along the way. Some people are pessimistic as a defense mechanism to avoid from being disappointed, but pessimism is only intending the very opposite of what you actually want, which to me, sounds like the worst thing ever.
Taking Control
You need to take control of your thoughts, and regularly visualize (see in your mind) the reality that you want (what you want attracted in your life) and do your best to leave out negativity. Your goal is to experience positive emotions about your intentions, so don’t imagine yourself not getting what you want and try your best not to doubt yourself either (these are conflicting intentions, remember?).
This will not only serve to boost your motivation, but will open you up to crucial opportunities and steps that are needed to actually get what it is you are trying to attract in your life.
Once you get the hang of this, at first you may feel like an optimistic dummy who’s constantly wishful thinking, but it’s a lot more than that. Adapting this mindset is the best way to align yourself with exactly what needs to happen to finally get what you want, which takes us to the next and most important guideline…
Taking Action Regularly
Once you’ve identified what you want, are remaining positive, and are regularly visualizing yourself having already achieved what you want, you need to have somewhat of a plan as to how you plan on achieving what you want. This may not be so clear at first, but as you take action regularly (preferably each day), this will become much more clear over time.
The most important part is to do something towards achieving what you want each day, even if it’s just one small step.
That, in a nutshell, is what all the law of attraction articles are trying to describe… some are just more elaborate than others. Once again, be aware of the misleading sources that make the law of attraction, which is an effective ‘process’ for achieving what you want, seem more like some kind of a religion.
